As I reflect on 2022…
A saying comes to mind: The more a man grows, the more responsible he must become. This has been true of Seeds of Hope—especially over the last year. As we grow, it seems God continues to give us more responsibilities and open more doors for us in Jericho. New people from the community are constantly reaching out, hoping that Seeds of Hope will be their refuge. It’s as if God is saying, if you are ready, I will give you more work. And we’ve learned not to be fearful of more because we can rely on God in everything we do.
It seems unbelievable that we are already at the end of 2022 and that Seeds of Hope has been going strong for fourteen years. At the end of each year, we look back and are grateful for all the tremendous joys God blessed us with. But this year, we are especially thankful. After the world saw extraordinary troubles, we now seem to be on the other side and can be grateful for what we learned through them.
This year, we saw relationships flourish, and discipleship deepen as our local leaders were stretched and grown in ways we didn’t see coming. We continued to expand our school, and we were able to renovate the Cultural Centerso we could now take in more children. We FINALLY had a return of regular project teams who did incredible work, including helping families with home construction and provision. We saw hearts deepen for Him and lives impacted positively.
Mostly, we are overwhelmingly grateful for your support throughout this year. You made this growth possible through your generosity, prayers, and partnership.
We didn’t know how 2022 would unfold, but we couldn’t have imagined a better year. It wasn’t without trouble and trials—we absolutely had those. What organization doesn’t? But we can say that we persevered, and as a result, we have had a stunning year. We kept our heads high and our hearts full of prayer and praise!
We hope and pray for continued growth, both in our faith and our responsibility. We hope next year brings even more children and families through our doors to know the overwhelming love of Christ and to find joy and rest in His goodness.
2022 was beautiful—hard and beautiful. Thank you for standing with us and seeing us through.
We love you!
